Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, shared his blessings with the newlyweds, posting a picture from the ceremony online. “Pleased to have attended the wedding ceremony of our Badminton Champion Olympian PV Sindhu with Venkatta Datta Sai in Udaipur last evening and conveyed my wishes & blessings to the couple for their new life ahead,” Gajendra Singh wrote on his post.
The wedding celebrations began on December 20 with a lively Sangeet ceremony, followed by Haldi, Pellikuthuru, and Mehendi rituals the next day. For the main ceremony, Sindhu wore an elegant cream-coloured saree, while her groom, Datta Sai, complemented her look in a matching cream sherwani.
Sindhu’s father revealed that the two families had known each other for many years, but the wedding plans came together in just a month. The couple strategically chose the date as Sindhu’s training and competitive schedule for the upcoming year is already packed.
